How to become an Enterprise Architect
Having, at minimum, a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology is required for this career. Because enterprise architects work at such a high level within a company, previous career experience is also necessary.
Some universities and other organizations provide certification programs focused on underlying concepts, best practices and tools, such as:
- Certificate for Systems Engineer (CSE)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
These certifications, coupled with an IT degree and career experience, will help individuals achieve the position of enterprise architect.
